Monsoon in India: Monsoon in India this year is going to be much better than normal. The Meteorological Department has predicted that soon the effect of La Nina will be seen in the Pacific Ocean. There may be more than average rainfall in the monsoon starting from June.

The Climate Prediction Center of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has predicted that the effect of La Nina may be seen in the Pacific Ocean in the next few months. It will start from June. NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the US) has released a time table last week itself, in which it was told that the effect of La Nina will be seen in June and early August. Due to this, there may be heavy rains in India and flood situation in some parts of the country.

What is La Nina?

Talking about El Nino in India, it causes extreme heat and weak monsoon. Talking about La Nina, there is a possibility of more rain and more cold than average. The Indian Meteorological Department has also expressed full possibility of development of La Nina.

La Nina will start from June

NOAA says that La Nina related incidents have been seen in the last few months. From this it can be estimated that it will start in India from June. NOAA says that the effect of Li Nina may increase by 49 percent from June to August and by 69 percent from July to September.

Farmers may benefit

Most of the rainfall in India occurs in July and August and the increased rainfall due to La Nina will also help the farmers in irrigating the fields. The right amount of rain can control the prices of staple food items like sugar, wheat, rice and vegetables, which can also curb the problem of inflation.

There was less rainfall in the last monsoon

The Meteorological Department has predicted that this time due to La Nina there is a possibility of more than average rainfall i.e. 106 percent rainfall. Last year it was 94 percent less than normal.
